Taylor Perrera is a 22 year old man that lives in SpringWood. He is one of the main characters in Simulacra. He meets Anna on Spark and chats with her a lot.

He has a flirtatious attitude towards the player while he thinks they are Anna (Even if a lack of interest is shown) and is also registered as a sexual offender on a N.S.F.W website for urinating on a staircase. He also seems to care for Anna as he goes out of his way on several occasions to try and help Anna. He has a lot of lewd jokes. If he doesn't trust you, you get the abandon all hope ending. If he does trust you, you get to choose one, but you can also find the secret ending. Taylor's story can go multiple ways as he can be arrested by the police, survive finding Anna back to normal or possessed by The Simulacra but h the player can choose which way his story ends by the choices they make throughout the game.

Simulacra 2[]

Taylor makes a cameo in Simulacra 2. Maya mentions that someone by the name of Taylor tried to bring her to a rooftop which is exactly what "Anna" attempted on Taylor which most likely means that isn't Taylor and is instead The Simulacra possessing him.

Personality[]

He has a fun and friendly personality, but goes insane when you make him throw Anna off the roof. He will snap at The Player if the Player mistreats him throughout the whole game and expects him to listen to them near the end, and will bring up the Player tricking him if the Player did so.

Death[]

By the end of the game, Taylor may be dead or alive, depending upon the player's actions. The main factor is how kindly you treat Taylor, as if he determines that you are a mean person, he will not listen to you if you tell him to stay back, which will instantly result in a bad ending. The same is true if you just pull out of the mission.

Taylor Dies, Anna Lives[]

If it boils down to making a decision between saving either Anna or Taylor, you can tell Taylor to go to Anna. The Simulacra then releases Anna, and causes Taylor to vanish off the face of the earth. He is then used as a catfish for "weak women", as Anna was for Taylor. Anna, though released, now has her simulacrum (i.e. online persona) implemented into her essence, and will never truly be herself again (so her body is alive, but she is not her, she is who she pretends to be online).

Both Die (Abandon All Hope)[]

There are one of two ways to achieve this ending. Both ways end with the screen cracking, and the video of Taylor in the same manner as the one you are forced to watch of Anna at the beginning.

Method One: Be as rude to Taylor as possible (call him a pervert, side with Greg in the group chat, demonstrate an unwillingness to listen to his side of the story of his sex crime by saying "Game over fuckface", comment on his morality, etc.), then tell him not to go. If you were mean enough to him, he will become very angry, tell the player he is tired of them pushing him around, and go to the spot anyway. The player will be met with mocking and disappointment from the Simulacra, as well as a classic "shoulda, woulda, coulda" situation.

Method Two: Tell Taylor you don't trust his source when he points out everything Anna and James have in common. He will then question your loyalty to the case, which presents the player with the chance to pull out of the investigation. Taylor will beg and plead for the player to keep working with him, then if the player confirms that they are quitting the investigation, Taylor will continue trying to find Anna on his own, which will automatically cause the Simulacra to attack on him, and he will die without saving Anna.

Taylor Lives[]

Also based on the player's actions, Taylor can still be alive at the end of the game.

Kill Anna[]

If the player is nice enough to Taylor, they can convince him to push Anna off the building they are on. Anna will thus die and Taylor can live. However, as explained by the Simulacra, he will live his life being known as a murderer. At the end of the game, we can hear the cops coming to arrest him. He lives without being haunted, but he will be labeled as a murderer.

Save both[]

This ending is possible if the player does not tell Ashley the truth about who they really are and if they are nice to Taylor. If they do so, the Simulacra will give an option to save both. If that happens, Taylor and Anna will both be saved and the Simulacra will leave them alone. It ends with Anna thanking the player and Taylor making a poorly timed attempt to ask Anna out to coffee.

Trivia[]

  • Taylor is portrayed by Phraveen Arikiah
  • It's revealed that in Simulacra 2, the Simulacra took him, proven by Arya and Maya's messages where Maya mentions Taylor trying to bring her to a rooftop. This would mean that the canon ending in Simulacra is Abandon All Hope. (You can tell because in the “Save Taylor” ending, Taylor gets arrested for murdering Anna, and before the Simulacra pretends to be Anna on Spark in the end, Taylor doesn’t interact with it).
    • However, it is also possible that Taylor's poorly-timed coffee invitation caused Anna to lose interest, so they end up just being friends, but Taylor still saw the rooftop as a positive place seeing as he had met his friend Anna there. This may be why he tried to take his new fling there, but it sadly just was not well-received on Maya's end.
